Help Support Disaster Relief through the Power of Music!
PONY has invited Japanese students from disaster-affected areas to perform at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the sixth year in a row! For the past five concerts since 2012, the students’ travel expenses were paid for through fundraising efforts in Japan. Due to other recent disasters in the country outside of East Japan, and fading public attention on Tohoku, fundraising has become more difficult.
That is why PONY launched this project to ask for help to support the children of Japan. Japanese Choral students are known for their exceptional singing voices, and these children from Tohoku are no exception. Please help us bring these students to New York, so they can show the city how the recovery has been progressing and demonstrate their talent in-person! Donations go to expenses their travel fee from Japan.
